The best conversations happen at the table

I love the way God invites us to His table. Jesus seemed to always share life changing truths around a meal with His friends. When He desired to impart His final thoughts and a New Covenant to His disciples, He curated a dinner party, He set a Table as the perfect environment for their hearts. An environment in which they would not just simply hear good information but would RECEIVE this "good news" in their hearts. 

So when you invite someone over for dinner, you typically will set a table, prepare a meal and perhaps open a bottle. What you would NOT DO is write a script for the evening's conversation. The key to a great evening is getting the right people to the Table! The conversations that flow from that environment can be life-giving, enjoyable, humorous and affirming. It's called living!

That is why YOU were invited to Artist Table. You have discovered that the creativity God has given you is what you have invested your life around. You are "ALL-IN" when it comes to your artistry. You are "ALL-IN" when it comes to your relationship with God. 

These qualities as StoryTellers, Dreamers and OffBeat creatives can also make us appear ODD or WEIRD in some of our communities. My good friend CJ Casciotta writes, "In a Sea of Same, Weird Wins! Embracing your weirdness is the best thing you can do for your art, your business, your friends, your family, and yourself. It's the essence of creativity, the stuff of movements, and the hope for humanity."

By setting a Table for you with other highly creative Artists, we hope you will be encouraged to step even deeper into the "real you", integrating your artistry and your faith; living more fully from your heart, strengthened to innovate & express LOVE in culture and in the church through your creative expression. And when your art is the expression of an artist who's heart is overflowing with the love of God, the SUBSTANCE of that love becomes part of that expression. It can actually carry the love of God.

Come and enjoy being YOU at the Artist Table. Drink deeply from the lives of other artists seated at the table with you. Enter in to the experience of the Table and share your story with other storytellers. 

Your life matters. Your art matters. Your voice matters. Your faith matters. Your heart matters.
